William Francis Heilman

 

William “Bill” Heilman  September 28th, 1939 – November 1st, 2020

In light of the current health situation, the services for Mr. Heilman will take place all in one day. The Memorial Visitation will take place from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM  Saturday November 7th at Maher Funeral Home 17101 71st Avenue Tinley Park Illinois 60477 . There will be a 2:00 PM Chapel Service with Pastor Don Borling Officiating. A private interment will take place at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers for the service that memorials be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Damien Church of Oak Forest or your own favorite charity.

WITH THE HELP OF THE FUNERAL HOME STAFF ONLY 50 PEOPLE WITH MASKS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE CHAPLE AT ONE TIME.  THIS IS IN ACCORDANCE WITH CDC GUIDELINES OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS.  MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCING ARE MANDATORY!!

 

William F. Heilman “Bill” 81 of Oak Forest passed away peacefully Sunday evening
November 1 st with his family at his side. Beloved and devoted Husband of Mary Kay
(nee Hayde) for 50 years. Loving Dad of Mark (Liz) Heilman and Dan (Chrissy)
Heilman. Dearest Papa of Owen and Drew. Dearest Son of the late Frank and Louise
Heilman and Brother of the late Robert (Angela) Heilman. Dear Brother–in-law of Meg
Hayde and fond Uncle and Cousin to many. Bill was born and raised in the south suburbs of Chicago and spent his time enjoying family, his surroundings and helping those in need. He was a skilled Industrial Engineer who was dedicated to detail and loved the various career paths that he encountered. In retirement, Bill took on several leadership roles in the St Vincent DePaul Society to give back to the community. Time spent during Birthdays, holidays, and with the Grandkids brought him tremendous joy and we were all blessed to have been a part of it with him. Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7th from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at
Maher Funeral Home 17101 71st Avenue Tinley Park Illinois 60477. Chapel Funeral
Service to begin promptly at 2:00 PM with Pastor Don Borling Officiating. Inurnment
Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers,
memorial donations may be made in Bill’s name to St. Vincent DePaul Society at St.
