Kevin Michael McCarthy Age 48, of Plainfield, IL and formerly Chicago, passed from this life Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born on July 13, 1973 to the late Sandra (Gagen) and Andrew McCarthy in Chicago, where he was raised and educated, and a graduate with the class of 1991 from Brother Rice. Kevin, a roofer by trade, was no stranger to hard work; he also knew how to enjoy life to the fullest. Although his loss has deeply saddened us, we do feel he took nothing and no one for granted and maximized his time and relationships in his nearly five decades. He is the loving father of Kylie, Jack, and Brett; dearest son of Andrew and the late Sandra; fond brother of Michelle. Kevin’s hobbies included fishing and golf, however coaching his kids on the baseball diamond was his greatest passion. He shared his love of the game and the fundamentals with so many over the years. As it was Kevin’s wish, cremation rites will be accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name can be made to Dynasty Baseball, 201 Earl Road, Shorewood, IL 60404.
