In Loving Memory of Nick Boubourekas
April 16, 1931 – May 15, 2025
Services for Mr. Boubourekas will take place all in one day on Thursday May 22nd at Sts. Constantine and Helen, Greek Orthodox Church, 11025 S. Roberts Rd., Palos Hills, IL 60465. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral Service will begin promptly at 10:30 AM immediately following the visitation. Nick will be laid to rest alongside his beloved Maria at Bethania cemetery of Justice Illinois.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Nick Boubourekas, who departed this life on May 15, 2025 at the age of 94.
Born on April, 1931, in Greece, Nick lived a remarkable life defined by strength, love, and unwavering dedication to his family. From the Argos, Greece to the distant shores of Sydney, Australia, and eventually to the East Side of Chicago, his journey was one of courage, hard work, and perseverance.
He was the devoted husband of the late Maria (Koutsopodiotis) Boubourekas, with whom he shared over 63 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a life centered on love and family. Nick was a proud father to three children: John Boubourekas (Sotiria Tsiorou), Anna (Boubourekas) Tsamis (Gus Tsamis), and the late Peter Boubourekas. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Nicholas, Nolan, Noel, Andrew, Nick, Niko, and Maria, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
Nick was known for his warm heart, quiet strength, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. He had a kind heart, a ready smile, and a story for every occasion. He touched the lives of all who knew him.
He will be remembered always, missed deeply, and loved forever. May his memory be eternal.
