Services for Raymond will take place all in one day on Friday July 31st at Resurrection Cemetery 7201 Archer Avenue Justice, Illinois 60458. Friends and family will meet 10:30 AM at the front gate of Resurrection Catholic Cemetery and proceed in procession to graveside.

Raymond “Rookie” E. Mehringer, Sr.
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond “Rookie” E. Mehringer, Sr. , who passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, at the age of 81.
Ray was born and raised in the McKinley Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side of Chicago. He worked as a truck driver for Consolidated Freight (CF) for more than 30 years before retiring.
He is survived by his life partner of 40 years, Tomoline “Tiny” Dedina; his children, Raymond Mehringer, Jr., Karyn Mehringer, Brian Mehringer, and Theresa Mehringer ; his grandchildren, Mark and Nickolas Freeman, David Sauseda, Jr., and Rachel and Andrew Mehringer ; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew “Bud” Mehringer (1920–1981) and Margaret Mehringer (née Stahl) (1921–1992) ; his brother, Andrew “Corky” Mehringer (1941-1986) ; and his sister, Patricia Mehringer-Horn (1949-2025) . In his free time, Ray enjoyed riding his bicycle, shopping for new cars, and spending time with family.
