On March 22, 2023, Nick Adams passed away peacefully at 86 years old. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Nick was born on October 8, 1936, in Divri (Lamia), Greece. He immigrated to Gary, Indiana in 1961 as a young man, seeking new opportunities and a better life. Soon after met his beloved wife Eleni of 61 years. Nick was a proud father to Timothy (Ellen) and Patricia (Mike), who he raised with his wife. He was also a cherished grandfather to Sarah, Nicholas, Eleena, Paulie, Demitra (Sotiri), and Alexa. Beloved brother of the late Litsa, Kosta, Angelo, and Eleni and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews in the United States as well as Greece. Nick was a devoted board member of the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Hegewisch, IL for many years. He enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams (Olympiakos F.C. and Chicago Cubs), listening to music on the front porch, and playing cards with his closest friends. Nick passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of many. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather who lived a full life and touched the hearts of many.
