Michael A Jones May 2nd,1960 – August 30th,2020
Mike was a loyal member of Local 150 for over 20 years. Mike never met a stranger he didn’t like; he was a friend to all. He loved his family and friends so much that he was constantly in contact with one or the other.
Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Karen, and daughter, Krysta. Predeceased by his mother, Mary N. Jones (Elrod) and his father, Thomas Jones whom he greatly appreciated and admired. Mike was a loving brother to Lois Lewis (Gary, IN), James (Carol) Jones (Pontiac, IL), and Rhonda (Ted) Kaczmarski (Lutz, FL). Mike was loved by his nieces and nephew: Wendy (John) Miller, Tammy (Tom) Martz, Larry Miller, and Marymelinda Jones. Mike’s great nieces and nephew adored him: Chrystle (Raj) Khan, James (Amy) Hayden, Martina Miller, and Vicky Miller and Mike even had a great-great niece and nephews: Jason Hayden, Emily Haden, and Cam Kohn. Mike was a beloved dog dad to Zeus and Sandy and, really, any dog he came in contact with!
Mike left an imprint on anyone he knew and he will be missed by all.
Mike would have done anything to help or assist anyone. He was just “that kinda guy” Like Mike always said, “My heart is your heart.”
Due to covid restrictions, there will not be a visitation. However, to celebrate Mike’s life, there will be a backyard get together in true Mike-like style, on September 26 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Coffee will be served and please, bring your Mike memories to share. Please wear a mask. Utilize social distancing. Call, text, or message Karen after 6:00pm to find out details. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Autism Speaks or the Veterans.
“I love you a bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck!”
