Kathleen Sievers March 13, 1948 – June 5, 2022

Visitation set at St. Francis Xavier Church, 524 Ninth Street, Wilmette, IL on Monday, June 13, 2022 from 12:00-1:00 pm. Funeral service to begin immediately after visitation at 1:00 PM. Luncheon and further celebration of Kathy’s life immediately following at Michigan Shores Club. Kathleen Sievers will be interred at Valhalla Memorial Park in Milwaukee, WI on a separate date.

In lieu of flowers, Kathy would be honored by any donation to MS Society, a cause that has always been important to her and her family.

Kathleen Maile Sievers, retired special education teacher, passed away Sunday, June 5 th , 2022. Loving mother to Caroline (Rich) Keating and proud Nana of Caleigh, Erin and Kiera. She was pre-deceased by her parents Walter and Peggy Maile, and brother Wally Maile. She is also survived by her siblings Charlie (Marla) Maile, late brother Wally (Ann). Cherished Aunt to Lisa, Karen, John and Maggie and friend, mentor, and teacher to countless others. Kathy grew up in Wauwatosa, WI, spending her summers in Lake Geneva with her family. Kathy attended the University of Colorado, and later earned a Masters Degree in Education from Roosevelt University. She invested her career in special education, spending most of her career at the Special Education District of Lake County. She dedicated her life to her family and the education of her students, both of which she took great pride in. In addition to being dedicated to family and faith, Kathy was known best for her happy and positive outlook, always maintaining a smiling persona. She enjoyed volunteering her time tutoring children through Fourth Presbyterian’s outreach program. Kathy’s interests also included all things related her granddaughter’s activities, the symphony, local concerts, and boating.
