George G. Kamberos 85, of Oak Lawn passed away peacefully early Friday morning with family at his side. Beloved husband of Becki (nee Kutrubis). Loving father of Stacy (John) Passarella and Dean Kamberos. Proud veteran of the United States Army. Loving son of the late Gust and Tasia Kamberos. George was a veteran of the United States Army. The proud owner for over 50 years of Kamberos Realty. He was a giving man who always had time for people and left them with a smile on their faces. He could often be seen during the holiday season selling Christmas trees in Hyde Park along 53rd Street, spreading holiday cheer to all his customers. George was fond of his traditional Greek music and occasionally enjoyed entertaining the customers of the Greek Islands restaurant with his singing along with Pete the waiter. He enjoyed a good time with family and friends alike, along with a Scotch in a tall glass with lots of ice. George always looked forward to his friendly wager on the Bears vs Packers with John Alfee. Sunday nights were reserved for margaritas and singing Spanish songs with Guadalupe and the mariachi band at her restaurant. May His Memory be Eternal.
