Services for Yvonne will take place all in one day on Tuesday May 23 at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 11025 South Roberts Road Palos Hills Il, 60465. Friends and family asked to meet for Visitation from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral service will begin promptly at 10:30 AM. Yvonne will be laid to rest along side her beloved James at Evergreen Cemetery of Evergreen Park.
Evangelia Kalantzis, known to family and friends as “Yvonne”, age 84, passed away on May 18, 2023 with her loving family by her side. Yvonne was born October 25, 1938 in Loukas, Greece to the late Dimitra (née Tsiagouris) and George Iliopoulos. Yvonne was the beloved wife of the late James Kalantzis in which they were married for 40 years before his passing in 2002. Loving mother of Christ (Vanessa) & Nicholas (Asimina) & George. Proud grandmother to Demitri, George, Cristiano & Stavros. Beloved sister of the late Demetrios (Eleni) Iliopoulos, the late Panagiota (Gus) Pappas, the late Ilias (Christine) Iliopoulos, Vasiliki (the late Vasilios) Romios, the late Nicholas Allen, Voula Allen, and Theodosios (Dimitra) Iliopoulos. Dearest aunt to many nieces and nephews. Yvonne was passionate about her family, freedom & faith in God. She worked at Nabisco for 30 years. Yvonne built countless relationships in her community through her service as a parishioner at St. Constantine & Helen for over 50 years.
