It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Emilia Kyriakoulis (nee Bitsikas) who peacefully left this world on December 27, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on March 2, 1925 in Manthirea, Arcadia, Greece, Emilia lived a full life filled with love, devotion and unwavering faith.
Emilia was the cherished wife of the late Konstantinos Kyriakoulis, the beloved mother of Maria (Dimitrios) Karamagianis, George (Fotini) Kyriakoulis, and the late Nicholas Kyriakoulis. She was also the adored sister to her late brothers and sisters and survived by her brother Theodoros Bitsikas.
Her enduring strength and love created a foundation of unity and warmth for her family, which she held at the heart of her life.
Emilia was also the proud and loving grandmother of Nicholas (Diane) Karamagianis, Sofea (Taso) Malamis, Emilia (Dean) Korolis, Melissa (Bill) Toulios, Efstratia (Vasilios) Kavathas, Constandina (Niketa) Pettas, Marigo (Bobby) Markatos, Kosta (Vikki) Kyriakoulis, Nicole (Matt) Taylor and Zach (Ashleigh) Komaniecki.
Fondly known as “Bigs,” Emilia’s legacy continues through her 14 adoring great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. She was also a treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews across the United States and Greece.
Emilia’s life was defined by resilience, strength, and the deep love she held for her family. Her warmth and laughter will forever live on in the memories of those who knew her.
