Cheryl Hilger, nee Urbanski, 55, of Odin Illinois, formerly of Palos Hills, passed away suddenly Tuesday evening June 12th in St. Louis Missouri with her family at her side. She was the loving wife of Nicholas for over 35 years and the beloved mother of Danielle Novak, Stephanie Hoffner, Michelle Hilger, and Ashley Hilger. She will lovingly be remembered as devoted Nana of Alexis, Dylan, Zoey, Emma, Amelia “Goo-goo”, and Baby Wolfie. Cheryl was the dearest daughter of the late Larry and Mary Urbanski and loving sister and sister-in-law of Terri (Steve) Freeman, Lori (Rich) Diviero, and Nancy (James) Scaturro. She was also known as fun loving Auntie Cheryl to Alyssa, Vinnie, Deanne, and Zack and all the nieces and nephews of the Hilger family. Cheryl loved to play cards, especially Tripoley, with her family. She took time away from her newest hobby of gardening only to work on the perfect tan, poolside of course, with her favorite mystery books as she was an avid reader. She may not have wanted to be remembered by this but those closest to her know her guilty pleasure was reality T.V. Visitation is Tuesday June 19th at the Palos Gaidas Funeral Home 11028 South Southwest Highway (770 West) Palos Hills, Illinois 60465. Funeral Wednesday June 20th at 8:30 AM from the funeral home to Sacred Heart Catholic Church (8245 West 111th Street Palos Hills) for the 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial, with Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
