Visitation for Mrs. Marx will take place Thursday May 6th, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at The Palos Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 South Southwest Highway Palos Hills Illinois 60451 (Next to McDonald’s). Friends and Family asked to meet Friday morning at the funeral home for at 10:00 AM Funeral Service. Barbara will be laid to rest at Bethania Cemetery of Justice Illinois. May Her Memory be Eternal!

Barbara J Marx was born on March 9,1966 in Chicago, IL. Daughter of the Jeanne and the late Leonard Meissner. Barb met her future husband rollerskating at thirteen years old, always remembering it as it being love at first sight. She married her high school sweetheart, Michael Marx iv and was blessed with five children: Nicole (Louis), Melissa, the late Christine, Michael (Justyna), and Maria.
She was a longtime employee of her adored career at Southwest Airlines for almost 25 years. Her Southwest family was truly an extended family she loved and cared deeply for.
Barb thoroughly enjoyed every moment of life she was given. She was the life of the party, the sweetest, most genuine friend you would be lucky enough have, and the also an example of how we all should be living each day as if it were our last. It was not uncommon for Barb to be spontaneous and jump on a flight for a quick getaway at a moments notice to Florida or Las Vegas with her husband and kids. If she was not traveling, you’d find her at home or the United Center cheering on her Chicago Blackhawks or her Las Vegas Knights with her husband and kids. We will greatly miss an amazing wife, mother, daughter, daughter in law, sister in law aunt, cousin, niece, and friend. Her smile and laugh will never be forgotten and her memory will be eternal.
