Services for Mr. Shapiro will take place all in one day on Wednesday June 28th. Graveside Funeral Service and Interment with Military Honors will take place 2:00 P.M. Wednesday June 28, 2023 at Evergreen Cemetery, 3401 West 87th Street Evergreen Park Illinois 60805. Rabbi Barry Axler officiating.

Arthur (Art) Shapiro passed away on June 26, 2023 at the age of 96. Art was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan (and any other sport he could complain about), loved gambling (whether in Vegas casinos or at his favorite local restaurant), and enjoyed spending time with his family (especially at Thursday night dinners where he served up his homemade specialties). He will be remembered for his witty comebacks, potato pancakes, chicken soup, and love for his family. Art was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia. His children Harold (Carolyn), Bobbie (Guy), and Robin (Carl), grandchildren Jim, Joe (Danielle), Suzanne, and Lindsey, and Brian (Barb), and great-granddaughter Arden, will carry on the legacy of their Dad and Papa/Pops.
