Services for Mrs. Perivoliotis will take place on Friday September 4th at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 11025 South Roberts Road Palos Hills Illinois 60465. Visitation will be from 9:30AM-11:00AM. Funeral Service will begin promptly at 11:00AM and immediately after visitation, Aggeliki will be laid to rest at Bethania Cemetery in Justice, IL.

With hearts full of gratitude and sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and Yiayia, Aggeliki Perivoliotis ( née Giakoumis), who left us with a loving heart—surrounded by her loving family on August 30, 2026, at the age of 84.
She was a devoted wife to Efthimios, her husband of 61 years; a proud and guiding mother to Effie (Paul H) Panos and the late Georgia (Paul) Jerantowski; a loving grandmother to Nicole (Christian) Gabriel, Arris Panos, Angelina and Maks Jerantowski; and a loving sister Toula Hatzis. She was also a Godmother, Koumbara, and beloved by family and friends in Canada, Greece, and Australia. She was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Georgia Jerantowski; her parents, Demetrios and Georgia Giakoumis; and her siblings, Dina Gomatos, Panagiotis Giakoumis, and Nikita Giakoumis.
Born during the Great Depression in Loganikos, Sparta, Greece, Aggeliki left Greece like many at that time for a better life. As a young woman, she moved to Montreal, Canada, in 1964, where she married her beloved Efthimios. In 1970, they moved to Chicago where they raised their family. Aggeliki instilled a tireless work ethic, enduring family values, and her strong belief in the Greek Orthodox faith to her children and grandchildren.
Her home and family were her greatest joys, especially her beloved grandchildren. She loved to knit, crochet, to garden, and of course loved to cook and bake all the traditional Greek food, cookies, and pastries. Cooking was one of the most meaningful ways she expressed her love, especially when making sure that the grandchildren ate all their food! She could prepare a feast, welcome a house full of family and friends, host a celebration, and still have everything cleaned and perfectly back in place before the night was over. She had a way of making hard work look effortless.
She never missed a call for help and always showed up for her daughters, family, and friends. Even as she fought illness, she focused on the well-being of those she loved. She was the nurturing, spiritual, and selfless family matriarch who will forever be missed by all. She leaves us rich in memories and wise teachings. We carry her legacy forward with love, laughter, and gratitude for a life so beautifully lived. May Her Memory be Eternal! All arrangements entrusted to Orrico Kourelis Funeral services Inc.
