In Loving Memory of Rosanne Wilfinger
Rosanne Wilfinger, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 19th at the age of 70.
Born on May 5, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois, Rosanne lived a life defined by love, kindness, generosity, and devotion to her family, friends, students, church, and community. She was known for her warm heart, generous spirit, and the way she always made those around her feel loved, welcomed, and valued. She continuously showed patience, encouragement, love, and an unwavering belief in one’s abilities.
As a special education teacher for over 35 years, she believed deeply in the importance of helping others learn and discover their potential. Her compassion extended beyond the classroom serving her church family, community, and leaving an impression on so many through her kindness and selflessness. Those who knew Rosanne will remember her gentle and carefree spirit, generous heart, emotional strength, and genuine concern for others. She never sought recognition for the many ways she helped people. Giving was simply who she was.
Most of all, Rosanne will be remembered for the extraordinary love she gave as a mother and wife. A love that was steady, selfless, protective, forgiving, and unconditional. She poured so much of herself into the people she loved, always wanting them to feel supported, believed in, and deeply cherished. Her greatest gift was not only the love she gave, but the way she taught others, simply by the way she lived, what it means to love with your whole heart. Her love will continue to live on in all those fortunate enough to have known her.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Michael, her children Walter, Jacob, Amanda (Little), and her granddaughter, Evelyn. She is also survived by her sisters Cathy (Douglas) Streett and Betty Jean Mushynski. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Walter and Betty Mushynski and beloved sister, Donna (Fred) Ramos.
Although her absence leaves a profound emptiness, her love will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Her family finds comfort in knowing that her memory and the love she gave so freely will always be remembered. All arrangements entrusted to Orrico Kourelis Funeral Services Inc.
