Services for Vasiliki will take place all in one day Thursday January 30th, at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 15625 South Bell Road Homer Glen Illinois 60491. Visitation from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral Service to begin 10:30 AM promptly after visitation. Vasiliki will laid to rest along side her beloved Yanni at Fairmount Willow Hills Memorial Park Cemetery of Willow Springs.

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Vasiliki Spatharakis, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Vasiliki was born on March 30, 1949, and peacefully left us on January 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and selflessness.
Vasiliki was a devoted wife to her late husband, Yanni Spatharakis, with whom she shared a deep and enduring bond. Together, they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering love. As a mother, she was the heart of her family, offering endless support, guidance, and affection to her sons, Dimitri and Kosta, and her daughter, Maria.
Her love extended beyond her children, as she was a doting and caring grandmother to her four cherished grandchildren, Yanni, Athanasia, Dimitri, and Alex. Her pride in her grandchildren was evident in everything she did, and her presence in their lives was a source of constant joy and comfort.
Vasiliki’s selflessness was one of her defining qualities. She lived her life always putting the needs of others first, giving of herself with grace and love. Whether it was through a comforting word, a kind gesture, or simply being there for those she loved, Vasiliki made everyone around her feel seen, valued, and cared for.
Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion will be remembered by all who knew her. Vasiliki’s love will continue to echo through the hearts of her family and friends, and her spirit will live on in the many lives she touched.
A service will be held in her honor, with a celebration of her life to follow. All who were fortunate to have known her are invited to join in remembering a remarkable woman whose love and light will never be forgotten. May Her Memory be Eternal!
