Vasiliki “Bess” Kotsogiannis January 15th, 1932 – August 22nd, 2020
In light of the current health situation, the services for Mrs. Kotsogiannis will take place all in one day as a semi private service. The visitation will take place 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM Thursday August 27th at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church 11025 South Roberts Road Palos Hills. WITH THE HELP OF THE CHURCH PARISH COUNCIL ONLY 100 PEOPLE WITH MASKS ON WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE CHURCH AT ONE TIME IN ACCORDANCE WITH CDC GUIDELINES OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS AND THE GREEK ORTHODOX METROPOLIS OF CHICAGO.
THE FUNERAL WILL BEGIN PROMPTLY AT 12:30 PM AND WILL BE RESERVED FOR FAMILY AND INVITED GUESTS ONLY. Mrs. Kotsogiannis will be laid to rest at Bethania Cemetery in Justice Illinois along side her beloved husband Triandaphyllos. The Kotsogiannis, Massouras, and Chiganos families would like to thank you for understanding and greatly appreciate your prayers and gestures of sympathy during this difficult time. Most importantly they wish for you and your loved ones to be safe. The Family has asked that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church.
Vasiliki (Bess) Kotsogiannis nee Arvanetes, 88, of Orland Park, Illinois passed away on August 22,
2020. Born in Thoknia, Megalopolis Greece in 1932 to the late Demetrios and Amalia
Arvanetes. Beloved wife of the late Triandaphyllos (Russell) Kotsogiannis for 54 years. Loving
mother of Nikki (Tom) Massouras, Nikolas (Dianne), and Debbie (Phillip) Chiganos. Proud and
devoted Yiayia of Vasilia, Zachary, Christen, Ted, Anna, Evan and Stephanos. Fond sister of the
late Ioanna (the late Theofilos) Stavrianos, the late John (Barbara) Arvanetes, the late Ifigenia
(the late John) Sgouros, the late Katina Arvanetes, and Nicki (Nicholas) Papanikolaou.
She was devoted to her faith and her greatest joy was her family especially her grandchildren.
May Her Memory be Eternal. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 27th from 11:00 – 12:30 p.m. at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 11025 S. Roberts Rd., Palos Hills, IL 60465. Funeral Service begins at 12:30 p.m. Orrico Kourelis Funeral Services Inc. handling all arrangements. Interment Bethania Cemetery, Justice IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Palos Hills IL.
