Renatka “ Renee” Kontaris (nee Kuc) 53 of Orland Park passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 5th after a long battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Spiro and dearest mother of Robert, Ana, Sophia, and Peter. Loving Daughter of Harriet and late Joseph Kuc and daughter- in- law of Anna and the late Bob Kontaris. Dear sister of the late Monica (Glenn) Mendoza, Greg (Katie) Kuc, Joe (Asia) Kuc, and Christopher Kuc. Sister-in-law to Christopher Kontaris. Adored Ciocia to many nieces and nephews. She was a loving friend to many. Renee was a straight “A” student throughout all her school years. She graduated top of her class with a perfect 4.0 grade point average and with a Master’s Degree from Roosevelt University. She received her degree in curriculum which she used to become a teacher and teach English as a second language.  She was a very loved teacher. She stopped in 2007 after her second child was born in order to raise her family. Some of the loves in her life included Animals, Traveling, Camping with family, her 80’ Music, Raspberries, Twix Candy Bars, Dining on Sushi, all of which failed in comparison to the devotion she had for her children.

Success by Bessie Anderson Stanley

He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much; who has enjoyed the trust of pure women, the respect of intelligent men and the love of little children; who has filled his niche and accomplished his task; who has left the world better than he found it weather by an improved poppy, a perfect poem or a rescued soul; who has never lacked appreciation of Earth’s beauty or failed to express it; who has always looked for the best in others and given them the best he had; whose life was an inspiration; whose memory a benediction.

Renee we love you so much and will miss hearing, seeing and feeling your sweet hugs and kisses. These are all examples of physical love. However, we are blessed to be able to love you then, now, and forever because love never fades, it bonds us for eternity. May your Memory be Eternal
