Services for Ms. Forst will take place all in one day on September 20, 2024 at St. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 11025 South Roberts Road Palos Hills Illinois 60465. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Funeral Service to begin at 10:30 AM immediately following visitation. Polly will be laid to rest among family at Evergreen Cemetery of Evergreen Park.

Polly (Kuvales nee Morton – Metropoulos) Forst , Age 84, Cherished daughter of George and Bessie (nee Liakopoulos) Morton – Metropoulos, Loving mother of Vicki (nee Kuvales)Kirkwood and Eva (nee Kuvales) Burns (Tom McGivern); proud grandmother to Melissa (nee Burns) Easley (Jeff Easley) , Laura Burns (James Rasso) , Katelyn Burns and Lindsey Kirkwood; adoring great-grandmother to Jacob Smith, Aiden Smith, Alexandra Easley, Dominic J Easley, Mila Burns, Blakely Burns and Charlie Rasso; Dear sister to the late Martha Anderson and the late Marge (the late Robert) Moe; Caring Aunt to the late Peter Anderson.
Polly was born in Blue Island IL, raised on her family’s farm in Harvey IL where all hands were on deck for both harvesting and selling. She graduated from Thorton Township High School in 1957, where she was an active participant in many extracurricular activities while achieving top grades. In 1958, she moved with her family to Evergreen Park, became a cosmetologist, married, and had 2 daughters. She built several successful careers throughout her life as she raised her girls as a single mother. These included Executive Secretary to Mayor Anthony Vacco of the Village of Evergreen Park and secretary to the presidents of Standard Bank and Bank of Hickory Hills. In addition, she opened and built several successful hair salons throughout the south side before finding her true career passion when she became a licensed REALTOR in 1984, excelling in both residential and commercial sales and becoming a CRS, Licensed Instructor and a Managing Broker. She was a member of local chapters of the Business & Professional Women’s Assn, advocated for change in divorce law at the state legislature, and founded/served in various Investment clubs to help empower women to become financially independent.Polly’s other passions included preforming whenever an opportunity presented itself. She found tremendous joy in singing and dancing, loved to karaoke with friends, participated in a variety of choruses, and celebrated her Greek heritage by performing traditional Greek line dancing as well as Belly Dancing at various events. She loved spending time with her pets and found her life partner when she reconnected with her high school sweetheart, the late Bob Vani. Polly lived life to its fullest every day until she was stricken with dementia for her final years which eventually led to her end of life. Her spirit will not only endure but will flourish through the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. May she rest in eternal peace.
