Services for Mr. Vellos will take place all in one day on Monday May 18th at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 11105 South Roberts Road Palos Hills Illinois 60465. Visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral Service to begin promptly after visitation at 11:00 AM. Peter will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery of Evergreen Park.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Peter K. Vellos, who departed this life on May 11, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on July 1, 1937, in Louka, Tripoli, Greece, Peter touched the lives of many with his warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for family. Peter was a husband to his beloved wife, Sotiria (Sandy) Vellos (née Kotsianis), with whom he shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. As a proud father, Peter is survived by his wife and three children, Polytime, Konstantine (Vickie), and Dimitra (Teddy) Karioris who carry forward his legacy of kindness and strength. His love extended to his four grandchildren, Sotiria, Raia, Thano, and Ellie, who brought immense joy to his life. Peter’s life was a testament to the values of family, hard work, and resilience. He will be deeply missed and remembered by all who knew him. The family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Peter’s life and share in the memories that will forever live in their heart.
