It is with great sadness that we announced the passing of our beloved mother and wife Margaret on February 10, 2026. Marge was 86 years old. She is proceeded in death by her husband (Daniel) and son (Gregory). She is survived by her husband Richard Pniewski, her son Nicholas Actipes, and daughter Christine (Andy) Ceresa.

Marge was born in Chicago on May 22, 1939. She was married to Daniel for 38 years, before his death in 1998. She lived and raised her family in Evergreen Park, and then moved to Orland Park.

Marge loved many things but her family always came first. She selflessly worked part time to help pay for her children’s college education. Marge loved to sit in ‘her’ chair and crochet afghans while watching television. She loved to bowl and was on a bowling team. She loved to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air and people watch. Marge’s passion was traveling. She visited Greece, Florida, Las Vegas and many other destinations.

Marge had a beautiful smile and always told her family she loved them. When you talked to Marge on the phone you could feel her big smile and hear her lilted voice.

Marge met her husband Rich at a grieving class as she was grieving the loss of Daniel, and Rich was grieving the loss of his wife Shirley. They were together and married for over two decades. They were friends and partners as well as a happily married couple. As Marge took care of Daniel as he lost his battle with cancer, Rich took care of Marge as she lost her battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Words cannot express the profound loss her family and friends feel. We believe the world was a better place, and people were better off for having known Marge. May her Memory be eternal. All arrangements entrusted to Orrico Kourelis Funeral Services Inc.
