It is with profound sadness, we share the passing of Gus (Kostas) Vlamis (age 51), on February 19, 2025.

Devoted husband of Helen and dearest father of Giorgie. Cherished son of Francis and the late George Vlamis and son-in-law of Fay and Vasilis Pappas. Beloved brother of Effie Vlamis (Pete). Dearest brother-in-law of George (Cindy) Pappas and Sofe (Savvas) Karountzos. Loving uncle to Katie (Henry) MIller, Billy, Deanna, Tommy Karountzos and Mila Pappas. Great uncle of Joey and Massimo Miller. Loved and adored by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whose lives Gus touched.

Gus was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Gus loved talking to everyone. We used to always tease him about being on the phone a lot. He was always reaching out to friends and family at all hours of the day. Checking on all, sharing his ideas and dreams, always optimistically talking about the future. Anywhere Gus went he would always talk to people and make friends.

Anyone who knew Gus, knew that he was incredibly loyal and kindhearted. Always willing to help anyone in need. Gus always had a positive outlook on life and always was a big prankster with a great sense of humor. His humor could make anyone’s day no matter what the circumstances. His smile was heartwarming, and his hearty laugh was infectious and would light up an entire room.

He was a devoted, dedicated husband and father. Gus always wanted to be home with his family before doing anything else. His family was everything to him. His son, Giorgie, was his pride and joy. Gus always said, our boy was the best thing Helen and I ever did in life. They had this incredible father-son bond, they were best friends. They absolutely loved their video gaming time, wrestling, playing, and their bedtime shenanigans. Giorgie and Helen were Gus’s world. His spirit will live on in our heart forever. May his memory be eternal. All arrangements entrusted to Orrico Kourelis Funeral Services Inc.
