Services for Mrs. Vinci will take place all in one day on July 17th at at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 South Meyers Road Lombard Illinois 60148. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Chapel Service to begin at 11:00 AM immediately after the Visitation. Angelina will be laid to rest alongside her beloved Louis at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed according to the family’s wishes.

Angelina Rose Vinci (nee Palella) passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 10, 2025. She was born on June 28, 1929 to her loving parents, the late Rocco and Margaret Palella, and lived a long and happy 96 years.
Angie grew up in Chicago’s Little Italy, at 1339 Taylor St, next to the still-famous Scafuri Bakery, where she took tap dance lessons from Annette Scafuri. She loved to share the stories of growing up a city girl, attending Riis Elementary School and playing in Peanut Park. She equally loved the trips out to Franklin Park to see her grandparents (the late Michaelangelo and Rose Latoria) on their farm, along with a plethora of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She attended Jones Commercial High School in Chicago, graduating in June of 1947. As a teenager and young adult, Angie took the street car from the West Side to work at various jobs throughout the city — at a box factory, a 5-and-dime, the file room at Montgomery Ward, and the layaway department at Carson Pirie Scott’s flagship store. She often spoke of how much she benefited from fitting in the discounted “sample sizes” from Carson’s store displays.
At a family friend’s wedding, she met the groom’s brother, Louis Vinci, who would be the love of her life. They married on June 27, 1948 and spent 64 years together until Lou’s passing in 2012. Angie enjoyed being a wife and homemaker, starting a family living in a tiny apartment behind Lou’s Barber Shop in Chicago’s Portage Park neighborhood.
Eventually, Angie and Lou found their way back to Franklin Park, near her parents and grandparents. Angie spent many years working at First State Bank of Franklin Park as a teller and later a vault attendant.
Angie will always be remembered for her love of colorful clothing, butterflies, and wind chimes. She was a lifelong Cubs fan, getting to watch them (finally) win a championship in 2016. She loved watching movies with her husband Lou, hosting Sunday dinners, and baking Italian pastries. She enjoyed spending time with her many aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as her siblings: the late Mike (Betty) Palella, the late Sonny Palella, and the late Roseann (Donald) Rocque. She also loved her many nieces,nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She remained friends with her sister-in-law, Marion Kirby, throughout her life.
Above all, Angie was a devoted mother, doting grandmother, and beloved “GG,” who was there for every special event and milestone, proud and happy for her family’s successes.
She is preceded in death by her infant son, Louis Jr., her grandson-in-law Jose Gutierrez, and her daughter-in-law, Robin Vinci.
She is survived by her children: Steven (Sherry) Vinci, Laura (Edward) Coleman, and Tim (Holly) Vinci; as well as her grandchildren Kelly (Jen) Coleman, Angelina (Jake) Coy, Vanessa Gutierrez, Katie (Amy Schiller) Coleman, Stephanie (Dominic) Conde, Michael (Samantha Nardelli) Vinci, and Nicole Vinci. She was GG to Kaelyn Coy, Sophia Conde, Max Gutierrez, Nick Conde, Louie Gutierrez, Giovanni Coy, and Anthony Coy. All arrangements entrusted to Orrico Kourelis Funeral Services Inc.
