Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 30th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 7560 S. Archer Avenue Justice, Illinois. Funeral Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tasia will be laid to rest along side her beloved Dimitrios at Bethania Cemetery of Justice Illinois.
Anastasia “Tasia” Kourafas ( nee Tampizivas), 86, at rest March 25, 2022, from Dyrrahion, Arcadia, Greece. Beloved wife of the late Dimitrios Kourafas; Loving mother of Sophia (John) Karas, Ted (Tina) Kourafas, Nick (Cathy) Kourafas, and Penny (Bobby) Zougras; Cherished Yiayia of Pauline (Tommy) Gatses, Stacy (Kostas) Vythoulkas, Anna (Michael) Abbatemarco, Christina (Dave) Maxwell, Lauren (Dominick) Logan, Anastasia, Dimitri, Nick, James, Jenna, and Julia Kourafas and Dimitra, Natasha, and Teddy Zougras; Loving Great-Yiayia of Gianna, Thanos, Sophia, Katerina, Sophia, Ioanna, Gian, Ava, Adriana, Nico, Sam, Vincent, Gino, and Dominick; Dear sister of the late Theodore (late Julie) Tampizivas, the late Eleni (late Luke) Sioras, Penny (late Diamond) Kottis, and Panagioti (Theodora) Tampizivas; Dear sister-in-law of the late George (late Stavroula) Kourafas and the late Ioannis (Pota) Kourafas; Fond aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Tasia accomplished many things in her life, but she was most proud of her family. She will always be remembered for her devotion to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom will hold her in their hearts forever. She loved to spend her days cooking, baking, and crocheting beautiful blankets and scarves for loved ones. The memories of her loving spirit, humor, and ability to make everyone feel like family will always be cherished.
