Amalia (nee Angelos) 80, of Palos Heights formerly of Olympia, Brina in Greece, passed away Monday morning March 9th at Palos Community Hospital, peacefully with family at her side. Beloved and devoted wife of Pete for 57 years. Dearest mother of Karen (Dean) Keorpes, Helen Deligianis, and Mary (Jim) Gianakakis. Loving Grandmother of Jim, Peter (Laurel), Soula, Amelia, Katrina, Foti, and Baby Pete. Great-grandmother of Grayson Kostaki. Dear sister of the late Angelo (Kathy), Loula (the late Nick), Anthony (Eleni), the late Niko (the late Popi), and the late Vivian (the late Dr. John) Christakis. Amalia and her husband Pete were proud owners for many years of The Delphian House Restaurant and Banquet Hall in Hickory Hills.” Our Mother celebrated life to the fullest. Her laughter and passion showed everyday with her unselfish devotion to her husband, her children, and her grandchildren.
