Services for Mrs. Gofis will be held all in one day on Wednesday May 8th, 2019. The Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM until 10 :30 AM at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church 11025 South Roberts Road Palos Hills, Illinois 60465. Funeral service to immediately follow and the burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery of Evergreen Park.
Vasiliki “Bessie” Gofis nee Katsianis 86, of Oak Lawn , formerly of Louka Tripoli Greece passed away the evening of Friday May 3rd with family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Christ for over 40 years. Loving mother of Kathy (John) Skentos and Georgia (Michael) Giannos. Dearest sister of the late Demetrios, the late Nicholas, Vasili and the late Spiros Katsianis. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews here in the United States and in Greece. Vasiliki enjoyed gardening, cooking, and helping friends and family in need. She will forever be remembered for her charismatic smile, passion for life and immense love for family and friends. Her generosity and warmth will remain in our hearts and may her memory be eternal. Visitation Wednesday May 8th from 9:00 AM-to 10:30AM at Sts.
