Tom Michael Dublin July 4th 1946 – March 28th, 2020

In light of the current health situation, the services for Mr. Dublin will take place all in one day as a private service. He will be laid to rest along with the brave men and woman who gave their lives for our great nation at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. The Dublin, Waitkus, and Howard families would like to thank you for understanding and greatly appreciate your prayers and gestures of sympathy during this difficult time. Most importantly they wish for you and your loved ones to be safe.

 

Tom Dublin of Channahon, formerly of Palos Hills and Chicago’s Brighton Park/Douglas Park neighborhoods, passed away peacefully Saturday March 28th at his home with his family at his side. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Waitkus) for over 50 years. Loving father of Nicolette (Dan) Howard and proud grandpa of his little buddy Zander. Dear son of the late Michael and Anna Dublin. Dearest brother of Chris Dublin, the late Marie Ranieri, Sophie (Frank) Tobias, Richard (Tammy) Dublin, the late John Dublin, Joe (Elizabeth ) Dublin, Michael (Elizabeth) Dublin, the late Steve Dublin, Janette (Leroy/ Mike) Gunsteen, Teresa Pappas, Paul (Carol) Dublin, and Ann (ED) Nicholas. Brother-in-law Peter (Rose Mary) Waitkus, Tony (Cathy) Waitkus, Frank (Blanca) Waitkus, Christine Casey, and Richard Waitkus. Fond uncle and great uncle of many nieces and nephews. Tom was very proud to be a veteran of The United States Army and Reserves. He was also a devoted member of St. Ann of Channahon Knights of Columbus, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and enjoyed his fishing and the casinos with his free time. He will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.
