Services for Mrs. Blanas will be held on Monday February 10th all at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church located at 7560 Archer Road Justice Illinois 60458. The visitation will begin at 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM and the funeral service will immediately follow. Mrs. Blanas will be laid to rest at Bethania Cemetery Justice Illinois, beside her beloved husband Evangelos. Maria Blanas nee Drakopoulos, 83 of Burbank IL, and born in Lianou, Tripoli Greece, passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning February 5th at her home with family at her side. Beloved and devoted wife of the late Evangelos for over 32 years. Cherished mother of Stamata Blanas and George (Dena) Blanas. Devoted yiayia of Evangelos, Maria, and Panagioti. Dearest sister and cherished sister-in-law of the late Stavroula (late Stavros), John (late Demetra), Aphrodite (Nick), Nick (late Dina), Paul (Dena), Lambrini (late Peter), and Soula (George). Loving theia of many nieces and nephews both in Greece as well as the United States. To her children and grandchildren Maria was looked upon as the foundation of their family. She provided endless love to those that knew her, was highly respected, believed in working hard, and never let anyone leave her table wanting more. She will truly be missed and May her Memory be Eternal! Visitation will take place Monday morning at 10:30 AM at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 7560 Archer Road Justice Illinois 60458.
