In light of the current health situation, the services for Mr. Les will take place all in one day as a semi private service. The visitation will take place 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday June 30th at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church 12307 Ridgeland Avenue Palos Heights IL 60463. ONLY 100 PEOPLE WITH MASKS ON WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE CHURCH AT ONE TIME IN ACCORDANCE WITH CDC GUIDELINES OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS AND THE GREEK ORTHODOX METROPOLIS OF CHICAGO.

 THE FUNERAL WILL BEGIN PROMPTLY AT 11:00 AM AND WILL BE RESERVED FOR FAMILY ONLY. Mr. Les will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Evergreen Park  Illinois which will also be a private service.  Guests are also invited to watch the funeral service at (www.saint-spyridon.org) The Les, Hix, and Infantis families would like to thank you for understanding and greatly appreciate your prayers and gestures of sympathy during this difficult time. Most importantly they wish for you and your loved ones to be safe. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church 12307 South Ridgeland Avenue Palos Heights IL 60463 .  Makaria luncheon will be held at a later date due to COVID-19.

Gregory P. Les of Tinley Park and formerly of Louka, Tripolis Greece, passed away Tuesday afternoon June 23rd peacefully at his home with family at his side. Beloved husband of Joanne (nee Georgiou/Proutsos). Loving father Pete (Demi) Les, Tom (Gina) Les, Anna (Joe) Les Hix, and Vasiliki (Theodore) Les Ifantis. Devoted son of the late Panagiotis Les and late Anna (nee Kalogeros) Les. Dear brother of the late George (Kyriakoula “Koula”) Les of California and Kyratso “Koula” (Jim) Chatzis of Canada. Fond brother-in-law of John (the late Eugenia) Mazarakos, Panagiota (the late Dean Gerogiou), Christ (Evanthia) Georgiou, George (Kathy) Georgiou, Jim (Maria) Georgiou, Cathy (Angelo) Nassis. Loving Nephew of Vasilios of Les Hickory Hills and Angelo Les of New York.  The proud pappou of 7 grandsons, Evan, Cory, Justin Les, Gregory and Ari Les and Jameson and Grayson Hix, of whom he loved to speak of their baseball athletics to all his friends. He was a special uncle, cousin, godfather, and friend to many here in Chicago, New York, California, Canada and Greece. Greg will always be remembered for his love of his beloved home village Louka, the many friends which he helped migrate to Canada and then to the United States and of course his match making.  A successful restaurateur and founder of Les Brothers in Canada, The Bridgeview Drive Inn, Panama, and Georgios South (currently Olivers’s in Oak Forest). His favorite demotika (folk) bouzoukia music with Philio Pyrgaki, Yiannis Giamaras, the great Klarino Yianni and Thanasis Vasilopoulos and of course his kafenio “OPEN” with his buddies!   May His Memory be Eternal!  In light of the current health situation, the services for Mr. Les will take place all in one day as a semi private service.
