The Services for Mr. Tsoukalas will be Tuesday December 3rd from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at The Palos Gaidas Funeral Home 11028 South Southwest Highway Palos Hills Illinois 60465 (Next To McDonalds) The Trisagion Service will take place at 6:00 PM. Friends and family are asked to meet directly Wednesday morning December 4th at 9:45 AM at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church 12307 Ridgeland Avenue Palos Heights Illinois 60463 for the 10:00 AM Funeral Service. The interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery ,Evergreen Park Illinois.
Emmanuel Kiriakos Tsoukalas was born in Parparia, Chios , Greece on October 14, 1944. He came to America after serving in the Greek Navy. He met and wed Laureen Tsoukalas (née DeChristopher) and raised three children together, Kiriakos, Calliope, and Cristoforos. He was a devoted husband and father who loved to host family meals, garden, and bake koulourakia. He loved tradition and attending Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church. He was a loving pappou to Manoli and Laurel (Daphne) and served as a pillar of strength to his family and community until he passed into eternal light on November 29, 2019. He will gladly rejoin his love, Laureen, in the heavens and be missed immensely here on Earth.Visitation is Tuesday, December 3rd from 3pm-9pm at Palos Gaidas Funeral Home (11028 S. Southwest Highway). 6pm Trisagion service.Funeral service is Wednesday December 4th at 9:45am directly at Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church (12307 S. Ridgeland Ave.).Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Evergreen Park Illinois.
